How to Join TeachArt Wiki
Anyone can view pages in the TeachArt Wiki, but you must be a member of the TeachArt Wiki to edit existing pages and create new pages. Before you can be a member you must first create a Wikispaces account. Follow the steps below to create a Wikispaces account and join the TeachArt Wiki.

Step 1: Go to the TeachArt Wiki website http://teachartwiki.wikispaces.com

Step 2: Click on the Join This Wiki hyperlink at the upper-left of the page (or click on the Join hyperlink on the top of the page).

Step 3: On the following page, if you don’t already have a Wikispaces account, click on the join Wikispaces now hyperlink. On the following screen, type a username, password, and email address in the fields and click Join. Please avoid using silly or inappropriate usernames that others may find offensive. If you agree to participate in the TeachArt Wiki research and allow the researchers to use your data, to protect your identity, you must create a username that does not contain any recognizable part of your real name. Create one that uses a combination of letters and numbers.

Step 4: You need to go to your email account and confirm your Wikispaces membership.

Step 5: After you have signed up for a Wikispaces account, return to the TeachArt Wiki web page and click on Join This Wiki hyperlink at the upper-left of the page and type your Wikispaces username and password and click Sign In. On the following page in the Comment (it says optional but it is not optional) text box type your Wikispaces username (i.e., quick55), real name (i.e., Mary Smith), your class (i.e., ART221 or ART331), and your affiliation (i.e., Eastern Michigan University, University of North Texas, etc.) in the text field, and then click the Request Membership button. If you do not include the above information your request will not be approved and you will have to repeat Step 5 again.

Step 6: After your request has been approved by one of the TeachArt Wiki organizers, login to your Wikispaces account. On the left side of the window, under the heading My Spaces, you should see the TeachArt Wiki hyperlink. Click on the hyperlink to enter the TeachArt Wiki. Congratulations! You will now be able to edit and create pages in the TeachArt Wiki.

*The membership approval is not automatic. It is a good idea to create your account and request joining the TeachArt Wiki as soon as possible (or by the due day set by your instructor).
